Trauma and surgical intensive care unit (TSICU) patients supported with mechanical ventilation are at high risk for complications associated with malnutrition.
Despite these interventions, TSICU patients often suffer a calorie deficit associated with enteral nutrition interruption for procedures or transitions in care.
