The use of nutrition through feeding tubes has nearly tripled between 1993 and 2014.*
In 1993, approximately 0.25% of all hospital discharges included a patient with a feeding tube. In 2014, that number increased to 0.72% – more than 255,000 people leaving the hospital with a feeding tube in place.*
